President takes aim at "debanking"

There are Christians and others who have found themselves removed from various financial institutions, apparently because of their ideology.   Now, the President has issued an Executive Order promising relief.  The White House website states: "Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to ensure that Federal regulators do not promote policies and practices that allow financial institutions to deny or restrict services based on political beliefs, religious beliefs, or lawful business activities, ensuring fair access to banking for all Americans."
It went on to say, "President Trump believes that no American should be denied access to financial services because of their political or religious beliefs, and that banking decisions must solely be made on the basis of individualized, objective, and risk-based analyses."

In January, CBN News ran an article highlighting how the President had called out certain banks. The article also traced how some Christians had actually found themselves "de-banked."  It stated: "Trump took a moment during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland to blast CEO Brian Moynihan, of Bank of America, and CEO Jamie Dimon, of Chase, over 'woke capitalism.'"  On a video feed, he is quoted as saying, "I hope you start opening your bank to conservatives because many conservatives complain that the banks are not allowing them to do business within the bank," adding, "They don't take conservative business."

CBN also stated, regarding examples of Christians who found themselves on the outside looking in:
That was the case for former U.S. Ambassador for Religious Freedom Sam Brownback who said Chase Bank abruptly closed an account associated with his nonpartisan, faith-based nonprofit organization with little explanation.

Brownback who serves as the chairman of The National Committee for Religious Freedom (NCRF) said in 2022 the bank decided to "end their relationship" with his group and closed the account after only three weeks.
The article continued:
There are dozens of people and organizations who say they have been debanked.

Bank of America reportedly canceled the accounts of religious organizations including Indigenous Advance Ministries and a Memphis church, Servants of Christ.

And Nick Vujicic has even started his own bank, ProLifeFinTech, after what happened to him when he gave a 2019 interview in which he spoke out against the killing of innocent, unborn babies.

"They froze my credit cards, froze my debit cards," he said. "They gave me a letter to say that they did a review of me as a client and they don't want anything to do with me."

Dozens of Christians in African nation lose their lives in jihadi attack

Throughout the world, Christians are finding themselves under attack by those who are committed to a radical religious ideology that views them in a negative light, and places their lives in danger.  Just recently, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, almost 50 Christians - worshiping God in a church service - perished in a brutal attack.  FoxNews.com reported:
In the latest attack in a tragic long string of mass murders by Islamist terrorists in both Nigeria and the DRC, the U.N. said rebels from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a sanctioned rebel group allied to Islamic State with roots in Uganda, burst into a church in the Eastern town of Komanda and set about hacking Christians who were worshipping inside with machetes and other knives.
The article stated: "The congregation was attacked at 1 a.m...., while they were on a night vigil, reportedly praying for peace."  The United Nations estimated the death toll at at least 49.  The Fox article went on to say:
"The killings are strategic," Illia Djadi, senior sub-Saharan researcher for Christian charity Open Doors, who support and speak up for Christians persecuted for their faith, stated. He added, "The ADF have a very clear aim: they want to turn a large part of DRC into an Islamic caliphate, like the horrific one instigated in Iraq and Syria in 2014 by Islamic State."

Contacted by Fox News Digital on Tuesday, Djadi said, "The presence of Islamic State groups across the region means that sub-Saharan Africa has become the new epicenter of jihadism." Muslims are in the minority here; it’s said that Christians account for between 80-95% of the population.

Drugs that could cause abortion destroyed in USAID purge

The exhaustive list of programs funded by taxpayer dollars under the auspices of the U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, shows a number of programs that Christian Americans would find offensive.  According to WORLD Magazine, "Secretary of State Marco Rubio cut all USAID foreign assistance programs. The administration planned to prioritize trade instead of doling out aid and push needy countries to opportunity over dependency, Rubio said."   The report noted:
The Trump administration made a preliminary decision to destroy “abortifacient birth control commodities" purchased by the Biden-era foreign aid contracts, a State Department spokesperson told WORLD on Wednesday. A limited number of abortion-inducing and contraceptive products purchased by the U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, have been approved for disposal. It will cost $167,000 to destroy the items, which will not include condoms or HIV medications, according to the spokesperson. Officials saved taxpayers about $34 million by canceling pending orders placed by the former administration, the spokesperson added.
The article related: "Reports began emerging throughout the last month that the Trump administration planned to burn nearly $10 million in contraceptives purchased by USAID." The article referenced comments from Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life of America, who "described the administration’s reported plans as a win, saying that the birth control in question included abortion-inducing drugs."
